Originally from Brooklyn, I relocated to the Hudson Valley to attend college and could never imagine living anywhere else. A Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the State University of New York at New Paltz set the foundation for my journey in photography. An early love of black and white film and alternative processes and materials such as hand coloring, infrared film and plastic cameras has given way to more recent explorations involving digital techniques, multiple exposure, Intentional Camera Movement (ICM), and iPhoneography. Regardless of technique or subject matter, the goal has always been to create images, both representational and interpretive, that celebrate the beauty of the ordinary and capture a sense of mystery that invites reflection and consideration of possibilities that exist beyond what is immediate to the eye.
